The hilltop estate may be reserved for weddings and special events when it is not in conflict with our regularly scheduled tours. Every special event is held outdoors on one of the Castle’s many picturesque terraces and must include a tour.
Special events and pricing fall into one of two categories:
1 – 50 people with the event lasting no longer than 3 hours
$10,000, plus a $1,000 non-refundable deposit, plus a $100 non-refundable fee to schedule the event, plus the staff reimbursement cost
51 – 250 people or events lasting longer than 3 hours
$20,000, plus a $2,000 non-refundable deposit, plus a $100 non-refundable fee to schedule the event, plus the staff reimbursement cost
Staff costs include personnel costs for guides, security, maintenance, buses and any other staff personnel that are required to successfully accomplish your event. Catering costs would be in addition to these costs. Insurance for up to one million dollars per occurrence is also required.
Reserving Hearst Castle
Reservations for a Hearst Castle wedding or event must be made at least 16 weeks in advance.
Fundraisers are not allowed with the exception of those conducted by or benefiting our nonprofit cooperating association, The Foundation at Hearst Castle. Private parties are permissible. For more information, please contact Hearst Castle.
