Built in the 1870s, the Piedras Blancas Lighthouse is still in operation today, having undergone major restoration beginning in 2010 to help bring it back to its original glory.

Guided tours of the Piedras Blancas Light Station and special events are open to the public and are offered throughout the year.
Directions from Hearst Castle
Piedras Blancas Light Station is located approximately six miles north of Hearst Castle, just off California Highway 1 in San Simeon, CA. Tours depart from the former Piedras Blancas Motel, which is 1.5 miles north of the Lighthouse, and about 7.5 miles from Hearst Castle.
